Description
The Howard Leight Impact Sport R-02526 Multicam active protective headphones are a modified version of conventional passive shooting headphones used to protect hearing from loud sounds.

The main difference between active and passive headphones is their smart electronic “stuffing”. Directional stereo microphones pick up external sounds and transmit them to internal speakers, providing natural sound. At the same time, ambient sounds of low volume are amplified by the headphones (voices, rustling, creaks), and loud sounds, such as gunshots, are reduced to a comfortable level. A shooter wearing Howard Leight Impact Sport headphones does not feel discomfort in the ears during shots, and he can have a conversation with his partner without stopping shooting (provided that the partner also has active headphones).
