The Kestrel 5700 Ballistics Weather Meter with Hornady 4DOF is a precision instrument with an integrated Hornady 4DOF ballistics calculator. It instantly and accurately calculates the right hold and wind correction for an accurate first shot at long ranges. This device combines real-time meteorological data measurement and the 4DOF Ballistic Calculator to provide a reliable and compact tool for long-range shooting.
The Hornady 4DOF Ballistic Calculator is ideal for long range calculations with low drag bullets. It offers trajectory solutions based on the projectile's drag coefficient (instead of ballistic coefficient) and takes into account its aerodynamic and physical characteristics. The calculator also accurately calculates the vertical displacement of the bullet when it encounters a side wind, modeling aerodynamic jump. Hornady 4DOF effectively calculates angled shots by taking key conditions into account.
