Nasopharyngeal airway NAR Nasopharyngeal Airway 28F from the American company North Americam Rescue. Also known as a "Nasal Tube", "Nasopharyngeal Tube" or "Nasal Tube", it is an emergency aid for breathing difficulties. It is a flexible tube made of a special soft siliconized rubber and is designed to be inserted into the nasal passage to allow air to enter the airways. When a person loses consciousness, the jaw muscles usually relax and can allow the tongue to fall into the throat, causing airway obstruction and death by suffocation.
