Description

The Coldforest Shadow anti-thermal imaging kit is designed to reduce visibility in thermal imaging sights and is used at night during personnel rotations, ambushes, assault/reconnaissance operations, or when it is necessary to move from closed positions to open terrain at night.

The product reduces visibility in thermal imaging by blocking and scattering the heat generated by the body. It works by scattering its own heat and accumulating the heat of the surrounding environment under the outer layer of threads. In this way, the cloak reaches a temperature as close as possible to the surrounding background, which contributes to effective camouflage.

The surface of the suit is covered with seasonal camouflage for use during daylight hours. It does not require additional linings, withstands direct contact with the body and radiation sources at temperatures up to 70 °C. The cloak can be worn on bare skin during the day and at night.

How to use

Be sure to put on a helmet, then put on the hood and mask, and then cut out the eye holes. Next, tuck the mask inside the suit. The rest of the clothing worn or not worn under the cloak does not matter for the effectiveness of the suit.
After that, go to a relatively safe area for 5 minutes so that the threads of the suit can reach the ambient temperature, then use as intended.

In case of excessive heating (e.g., due to explosions/fires, etc.), after a certain time, the temperature of the raincoat will normalize to the ambient temperature without removing it.

Warning

When used in rain at temperatures below 5 °C, the product is less effective.

Caring for the raincoat

Can be washed by hand in water up to 40 °C without adding aggressive detergents. Dry in the open air.
