Monocular Konus Konusmall-2 7-17x30 is a compact monocular zoom with a dual focusing system and tripod mounting. When zoomed in to 10-12x, it doesn't require mounting on a tripod, but at higher magnifications, it stabilizes images trembling from hand vibration. The tripod can be used to stabilize such images. The main optical surface of the Konusmall-2 7-17x30 monocular is coated with several layers of special coating, significantly improving light transmission at the glass-air boundary, providing sharp and bright images.

At the selected magnification (from 7x to 17x), focusing is adjustable in two stages. Coarse focusing is achieved by extending the objective, and fine focusing by rotating the objective ring. At low magnifications, the exit pupil diameter of the monocular is comfortable for prolonged observation, but at very high magnifications, observation needs to be periodically interrupted to rest the eyes.
