Description

The SIGETA Orient compass is an army liquid instrument designed for tactical, military, geological, and hiking purposes. The compass is housed in a rugged metal case that protects the device from moisture, shock and mechanical damage, ensuring its reliability even in difficult conditions. This model provides the user with ample opportunities for precise orientation on the ground.

The compass design is a classic folding compass made of zinc alloy and includes a base with a hinged lid. The lid has a viewing window with a measuring scale that allows you to determine distances. The base is equipped with a compass, clinometer, bubble level, and a viewing window for easy reading. Thanks to the bubble level, the user can control the correct position of the compass, which increases the accuracy of measurements.

A floating limb with a fluorescent arrow rotates in a liquid environment, which ensures the stability of the arrow during movement. The scale of the limb has double markings from 0 to 360° in both directions in 2° increments. The rotating azimuthal circle with full fluorescent scale is marked from 0 to 360° with 5° increments for easy navigation. The clinometer located between the compass and the cover is marked from 0 to 90° and allows you to measure the inclination of various objects.

There are auxiliary scales on the compass body: a 15 cm long ruler on the left and a distance scale on the right for determining distances on a map at a scale of 1:25,000. The lower part of the case has a 1/4-inch hole for mounting on a tripod, as well as a table for calculating measurements.

The SIGETA Orient compass is covered with a protective dark green enamel. A metal hinge allows the case to be locked in place and a neck or wrist strap to be attached. A durable nylon case with Velcro is included, which can be attached to a belt.
