Description

The production of Opinel knives dates back to 1890, when Joseph Opinel created the first folding knife to order. All knives produced by Opinel can be divided into two large groups. The first group with numbers in the name from 2 to 5 includes tools for delicate work and trinkets, the second group with numbers from 6 to 10 and 12 includes classic knives used both in solving various household tasks and actively used in hiking, hunting or fishing. Knives numbered 1 and 11 were also produced until 1939, but were subsequently discontinued.

Opinel 12 VRN knife is a knife that can be actively used both at home daily in the kitchen, and take it with you on fishing, hunting or picnic with friends. Its blade has high hardness, as it is smelted using steel with high carbon content, due to which the knife demonstrates excellent cutting and sharpening performance. Carbon steel requires special care from the owner, as it is highly susceptible to the harmful effects of moisture. For this reason, we recommend wiping the blade after each use and, if possible, oiling it.
