Description

All Opinel knives can be divided into two large groups. The first group with numbers from 2 to 5 includes tools for fine work and trinkets, while the second group with numbers from 6 to 10 and 12 includes classic knives used both in various household tasks and actively used in hiking, hunting or fishing. Knives with numbers 1 and 11 have been out of production since 1939.

Opinel №7 VRI Trekking Blue knife has a rounded shape of the handle, at its end you can see a hole through which a leather temlag is threaded. With its help this tool is fixed on the belt of pants, keys or other elements of fishing or hiking equipment.

To make the handle, the engineers of the French company chose solid beech wood, which they painted and varnished. The blade of the knife is made of Swedish steel, which is not afraid of water or moisture, and therefore does not rust and does not require special care from the owner. A special mechanism called Viroblock, which is a rotating iron clutch located at the point of connection between the blade and the handle, protects the fingers while working with the knife.
